Where to stay near Peachland
Peachland is a small town, so the choice of rooms is smaller than in the cities nearby. Town has bed and breakfasts and holiday rentals, and the neighbouring town of West Kelowna has hotels and motels. Kelowna adds hotels in the city center and in the wider city area.
A lake view, a private beach or a stay at a winery depend on the property, so check the position on a map before you book.

Peachland, West Kelowna or Kelowna
Which area fits which trip.
| Area | Lodging types | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Peachland | Bed and breakfasts, holiday rentals | A quiet base near the beaches and the creek walk |
| West Kelowna | Hotels and motels | Close to the wineries on the west side |
| Kelowna | Hotels in the center and in the wider city | Restaurants, the waterfront and transit links |
For most visitors who want a quiet stay with some walks and a beach, Peachland is the better fit. Choose Kelowna if you want a city around you. Neither town is reliably cheaper, so compare your dates.

Camping in a provincial park
One option on the west shore, north of Summerland.
BC Parks runs a lakeside park on the west shore of the lake, reached from Highway 97 about 11 km north of Summerland. It has two camping areas. Regional parks near Peachland, such as Hardy Falls, are day parks, and camping is not allowed there. Do not assume you can camp anywhere on the lake shore.
The fees below are the BC Parks examples. Confirm them on the booking page before you travel, because they do not apply year round. Camping and non-resident fees include tax. The transaction fees are added with tax.
| Season | Fee per party and night |
|---|---|
| Peak (15 June to Labour Day) | CA$51 |
| Shoulder | CA$35 (CA$25.50 for BC seniors) |
| Winter | CA$13 |
A reservation costs CA$6 per site and night, up to CA$18, plus CA$5 for a booking by phone, and CA$6 for a change or a cancellation, all plus tax. First come, first served sites carry no transaction fee. Not every campground needs a reservation. The BC senior discount does not carry over to foreign seniors. BC Parks has no lifeguards on its beaches.
Choosing a base by your plans
Match the town to what you want to do.
If your plans are beaches, the creek walk at Hardy Falls and the climb up Pincushion Mountain, a room in Peachland keeps everything within a few minutes. If you plan several wine tastings, West Kelowna puts you closer to the wineries on the west side, but you still need a sober driver or a tour. See Okanagan wine tours.
If you fly in, remember that the airport lies near Kelowna. Allow 50 to 60 minutes by road from the airport to Peachland, so a first night in Kelowna can shorten a late arrival. The getting there page covers taxis, rental cars and buses. Parking on Beach Avenue in Peachland is free on the street, but that does not mean unlimited time or overnight parking, so read the signs.
