Peachland in a nutshell
Peachland is a small lakeside town on the west shore of Okanagan Lake in British Columbia. It lies 25 km south of Kelowna and 40 km north of Penticton, on the Highway 97 corridor. It had just over 6,400 residents in 2025.
This guide covers the town and what you can reach from it: Okanagan wine tours and the wineries of West Kelowna, Swim Bay and Antlers Beach, the short walk to Hardy Falls, the climb up Pincushion Mountain and day trips to Kelowna. Entry fees and fares are in Canadian dollars (CA$), tours in US dollars, all as of 2026.

What Peachland is good for
Four reasons to stop here instead of driving through.
Wine close to town
The Westside Wine Trail around West Kelowna is a short drive north. Read the Okanagan wine tours page if you would rather not drive yourself.
Lake days
Swim Bay has a marked swimming area, toilets, floats and water toys in summer. Antlers Beach sits at the mouth of the creek. See the beaches page.
Short walks and one steep climb
Hardy Falls is under 1 km there and back. Pincushion Mountain is 1.8 km one way and gains about 245 m.
A base for the valley
Kelowna is about half an hour away and the airport 50 to 60 minutes. The Okanagan Valley runs far beyond both.
Our picks: Okanagan tours from Peachland
The four-winery day is the full wine experience, the half-day tour is the shorter one, and the lake cruise and food walk fill an afternoon without much planning. Whoever drives does not taste, so a tour with pickup is the easy choice.
Hand-picked tours, booked through Viator and GetYourGuide. Prices are indicative starting prices in US dollars (as of October 2026). Tap a tour for live availability and the current price in your currency.

Two different places for culture
The visitor centre is in the museum building on Beach Avenue. The art gallery is in the historic schoolhouse, a separate building on the same street. Check the hours of each.
Swim Bay supervision is seasonal
The 2026 plan was supervision from 15 June to 28 August, daily 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Outside those weeks there is no lifeguard, and supervision can be paused, so check the signs on the day.
Bus fares since October 2025
A single fare is CA$3 and a DayPASS CA$6. The free 90-minute transfer no longer applies.
A card is not the only way to run a rental boat
Transport Canada also accepts a completed rental checklist or a recognised foreign proof of competence. Details are on the boat rental page.
A big wine region
The Okanagan has 11 formal wine sub-regions, and British Columbia as a whole had 277 licensed grape wineries in June 2026.
A path to West Kelowna
The multi-use path from Peachland toward West Kelowna and Goat's Peak has been finished since 2025.
Beyond Peachland
Other places in the valley have their own guide.

Peachland: frequently asked questions
Where is Peachland?
On the west shore of Okanagan Lake, 25 km south of Kelowna and 40 km north of Penticton. Highway 97 runs through the town. See getting to Peachland.
How long does it take to get here from Kelowna airport?
Plan on 50 to 60 minutes. Taxis and private shuttles wait at the airport, and car rental desks are in the terminal. The getting there page has the bus connections and the Vancouver route.
Do I need a visa for Canada?
Citizens of Germany and other visa-exempt countries need an eTA (CA$7) when they fly to Canada. It is valid up to 5 years or until the passport expires. US citizens do not need an eTA but should carry a valid passport. Rules change, so check the government of Canada site before you travel.
Can I drive after a wine tasting?
No. Warnings start at 0.05 % blood alcohol and a fail at 0.08 %, and these are limits for enforcement, not a drinking budget. Pick a sober driver or join a tour. Tasting and buying wine requires age 19. See Okanagan wine tours.
Is there a Peachland pass or general entry fee?
There is no Peachland pass. Each place sets its own terms. The museum and the gallery work on donation, parks have their own rules, and tours are priced by the operator.
Is this the official Peachland website?
No. This is an independent travel guide. It is not run by the District of Peachland, a tourism organization, a museum, a winery or any tour operator.
