Peachland beaches at a glance
Peachland has two beach areas that matter for swimmers: Swim Bay on Beach Avenue and Antlers Beach by the creek mouth. Both are on Okanagan Lake, and Swim Bay is a gravel beach rather than sand. The Beach Avenue Waterfront Trail runs about 3 km along the shore, and parts of it reach the water.
Street parking along Beach Avenue is free, but signs and time limits still apply. There is no town-wide pass, and each beach has its own rules.

Swim Bay: rules and facilities
Swim Bay has a marked swimming zone, toilets, docks and water play equipment. Children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult, and children under 6 must stay within arm's reach. Boats, paddleboards, kayaks and inflatables are not allowed in the swimming zone. Glass and alcohol, smoking and vaping and open fires are not allowed either.
Groups of more than 20 people need a rental permit during lifeguarded hours. There is a water ramp and a water wheelchair, available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during lifeguarded hours and only with an assistant.
A wildfire emergency can suspend the lifeguard service, as happened in August 2026. Treat the season as the plan, not a promise of unbroken cover, and check the signs before you go.

Antlers Beach and Davis Cove
Antlers Beach has parking and picnic areas near the creek mouth, plus toilets and a marked swimming area. It is a regional park without a lifeguard to count on. Swim at your own judgment, and read the signs.
Davis Cove, at 3701 Beach Avenue, is not a swim spot to count on. Check the signs for public access and parking before you plan a swim there.
Water quality and advisories
Beach operators monitor the water at public beaches during the swimming season, under Interior Health. A sample shows the water on one day, not live conditions. A single sample of 235 E. coli per 100 ml or more can trigger follow-up steps, and a warning about a higher risk of illness is not the same as a closed beach.
Before you swim, check the beach advisories on the Interior Health website and read the signs at the beach. Do not rely on results from a past season.
