Peachland weather at a glance
The figures on this page are for the Kelowna airport area, north of town, the closest reference. Treat them as a guide to the season, not as a Peachland measurement. They are 1991 to 2020 averages of daily highs and lows, not records and not a forecast.
July and August are the warmest months, with highs around 28 °C. Nights stay cool in late spring and early autumn, and winter days sit near freezing. If lake days are the goal, plan for summer and book a boat rental on Okanagan Lake for a specific day. If you prefer wineries and hiking, the shoulder months of May, June, September and October are cooler.

- Autumn (September to October): highs fall from 22.2 °C to 13.2 °C. Harvest events and tastings suit Okanagan wine tours. September is also when Kokanee spawn at Hardy Falls.
- Winter (December to February): daily highs stay between about 0.7 °C and 3.5 °C. Pack for snow and ice on trails such as Pincushion Mountain, where steep sections get slippery.
Rain and snow totals are harder to compare month by month. Older 1981 to 2010 normals for the same area show February is the driest month at 19.0 mm and June the wettest at 45.9 mm.
Wildfire season and smoke
Warm summers bring wildfire risk to the Okanagan. In August 2026 a wildfire near Peachland led to evacuation orders and warnings in parts of the town, limited access on Highway 97 and paused lifeguard cover. Smoke can linger for weeks afterwards.
The fire season varies from year to year, and no month is always free of smoke. Plan summer trips with some flexibility, check fire bans before you light any fire, and keep to the rule that regional parks around Peachland do not allow fires at all. Check DriveBC for road conditions before you drive.
